At The Vine it is our passion to see our community grow closer to God and to each other.
We love to do community service projects and to provide community outreach events where we can make a difference in people’s lives.
Here are a few things going on right now and coming up soon at The Vine!

Post Falls Food Bank
We helped the Post Falls Food Bank with their warehouse re-organization. We cleaned floors, mopped freezers, painted benches, counted food boxes, and re-organized their warehouse. It was a wonderful way for us to serve our community and be a blessed to the Food Bank.

VBS for Children with Special Needs

In June we did a one-day Vacation Bible School for families with special needs. This was something that we had never tried before. But we wanted to be a blessing to families who care for children or other adults with special needs, and it seemed like a VBS would be a wonderful way to serve them. A mission team from Wisconsin came to Coeur d'Alene to help us put on this camp. God blessed it.
Community Service ProjectsWe had the pleasure of having a film crew from the WELS Connection Production crew follow us around as we completed four different community service projects: a food drive, delivering baked treats to first responders, a free battery giveaway to celebrate the time change on Sunday, and visiting nursing home residents. #GrowingTogether

Following the service a free catered lunch by Drummin Up BBQ was served to everyone in attendance so that we could continue the celebration and get to know one another better. Free vine plants were given to each person who attended with a note card that read “Remember to keep growing!” and the Bible verse “I am the Vine, you are the branches” (John 15:5).

In February the Vine did a “Free Donut Giveaway” at Super 1 Foods as a random act of kindness for the community. We gave away 200 free donuts to shoppers in the store parking lot and met a lot of new friends and neighbors in the process. It brought smiles to a lot of faces.
